My title pretty much sums up what i need to do, but have fallen short on solutions.
I have a HP Photosmart s20 scanner then i got a few years ago when i was still running PC ... when i got my mac ... my parents kept the PC and all the hardware that i got for it ...
My parents PC is getting on my nerves and they've been persuaded by the ease of operating a mac and would like to get a new computer -- and i've persuaded them that perhaps an iBook (since my mom wants portability) maybe the best value for her being that it is powerful enough for editing pictures, editing DV movies, and typing her projects (i do all that on a powermac 400 so i think a iBook 800 would do them just fine since they don't want to break the bank on this purchase)
Now i have them almost convinced except that it would be nice to be able to keep this scanner for them to run on the their computer because my dad has really started to like it ... and would rather not have to spend MORE money.
okay --- i've searched the net for possible solutions ... and came up short
i tried "VueScan" but it didn't work.
i was thinking that maybe getting Virtual PC and just running the OS that way would be the solution .. but that is an extra expense and inconvenience --- i want the transition to being as easy as possible for them.
does anyone know of ... or could possibly help me find something that will make this
