HP Printer Drivers 2.3 Released

HP released printer driver update 2.3 for Mac OS X.

This download includes the latest HP printing and scanning software for Snow Leopard.

Requires Mac OS X v10.6.1 or later.

It still seems that the issue with scanning directly from the printer is there. Any ideas?

I installed the new drivers for the HP 6100 series - they were not so good in Apple's 10.6 release. There are still major problems with the HP drivers. The scanned docs cannot be sent to Mail, iPhoto, or Preview, only to the Document folder.

Also, the OCR function will not correctly scan a doc that has typed text and handwriting. They are aware of these issues now, but since the drivers came out recently with all the described bugs I wouldn't count on a quick update.
