HP PSC 1610...black lines?

So recently my HP PSC 1610 has decided to throw a temper tantrum and will
not print anything the way it is supposed to...

when ever i hit print it starts the printer, makes all the normal noises
and then all it prints on the paper are thick black horizontal lines in cool different patterns sometimes reaching across the page

i tried to use the clean ink cartridge feature and also the alignment feature and nothing works

just a lot thicker
