HP Scanner Drivers for my MAC, HELP!!

I recently bought a HP Scanjet 5500c and cannot find a driver for it anywhere. Not on the HP support site or anywhere else. Any suggestions?

That's a real old scanner.....I was able to find drivers here

but they are for OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Vuescan from Hamrick Software is supposedly compatible with that scanner, but it's not free software

I would agree with the post above -- VueScan is probably the best bet at finding scanning software and drivers that will work with an old scanner.

You can probably check at VueScan's website to see if that particular unit is supported...
