A kind friend gave me this large monitor, and I am psyched to put it to use with the 2012 Mac Pro I just bought. However, though I can get it to power on and connect via DVI. However, I can't get any image on the screen. So, I thought I would test it with my MB Pro. I have a USB 2.0 to display adaptor. When I connect it to my MB Pro, the Macbook gets darker for a moment, and when I choose Built in Displays from System Preferences, press option the MB Pro seems to be seeing the HP monitor. A window comes up that names the model number. Still, I have no picture on the HP display. Does that mean there is likely something wrong with it? Thank you for any reply.

Also, do you think this HP monitor will work with my Mac Pro? I thought of just buying one, since this is so inexpensive.
