I had now within a couple of days three people contacting me because they had a strange message popping up on their screen when they tried to print something. See attached screen shot of one of these messages. All three have different HP printers; in all three cases different files got mentioned as being harmful (i. e. HPDeviceMonitoring.framework).
I know that at least the first person had macOS Catalina installed; I'm not sure about the other two.
In the first case I uninstalled the printer, downloaded the latest printer software from HP, and installed the printer again with the new software. That fixed the problem. In the other cases I have not done anything yet.
Do other people have something similar happen to them and/or is it known what is going on here?
