Hey folks,

I've been starting to get into videography as a side job. I currently use a DVX100b and I'm starting to look towards HD cameras. The HVX200a sounds really great but I'd also like a smaller camera that I can use to get some cut away footage for editing. Basically, I'd set it up on a tripod to get wide shots I could cut to here and there while I walk around on the HVX and my steadicam. (Or let someone else use it if I can afford to bring another person to help shoot).

Does anyone have any experience with the Panasonic HSC1U? I know the quality won't be as great as the HVX, esp due to the compression rates, but do you think it would be at least comparable? Perhaps maybe in the ideal lighting situation? Or is it not even worth the though?

Any advice is always appreciated!
