So like half the people on the forums I'm running 10.6 on my mac, I'm using a 3G modem with it, and as of 10.5.8 there has been native support for these devices built into OS X but in leopard the signal strength would display in the menu bar, the option is there in the pref pane under network, but it won't actually show up in the menu bar, its not a driver issue or anything, i have the most current version from AT&T. the modem still works but i would like to see how many bars i have and what network im on. does anyone else have any input on this?

I am having the same issue - has anybody figured out a fix for this?
