HTC =/= Mac compatible

Hey, just wondering what it would take to make an HTC phone (G1) software work on a mac, i know it says windows only but i was just wondering if any of you had any insight to this problem

the g1 really doesnt need any software unless you need to sync music. then there are apps like doubletwist and salling sync. or you can just drag and drop files onto your sd card.
