Hi,

I need to make a simple html page for a school assignment. Apparently you can simply save a word document as html, but are there any (preferably free) apps in the mac app store that can make a simple html page? I have no real programming experience.

Or will the save as html function be good enough?

Word's "save as html" function is horrendous at best. It injects all manner of Microsoft-specific HTML code, and the pages display horribly on any browser except Internet Explorer. If your assignment is to make a "simple html page" I seriously doubt that's what your instructor has in mind.

You need a simple text editor to create HTML pages. You can do it with TextEdit, just make sure to save as plain text. If you want a better alternative, I'd recommend TextWrangler.
