Hi guys I have a 2013 rMBP and starting today I got a pop up that says

<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Success</TITLE></HEAD><BODY></BODY></Success> in a small Safari window. It pops up every few minutes and I did nothing except for install some updates in the apple store.

Any reasons for this? it is very annoying and happened suddenly

Thanks

I'm getting the same thing on my 2011 MBP running 10.9.5. It started suddenly this morning. I get the pop-up every five minutes or so. Very annoying! Here's hoping someone (Apple?) can figure this out.

Temporary fix from apple:

Turn WiFi off

Teminal - sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.captive.control Active -boolean false

You may need to reboot..

Then turn Wifi on.

This is a temp fix, they are aware and working on it. Obviously if you try to login to a wifi that does have a splash screen (McDonalds etc) then you will need to change the command to true on the end..
