Hello,

I've completed The Big Nerd Ranch Objective-C book, and I love the way they teach you the language. You learn by coding when you're reading the book.

I also want to get into web development, so I'm looking for books that have the same teaching methodology.

Any recommendation for HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript books with similar teaching methodology?

check this thread for a recommendation or two. The missing manual book series was pretty decent, although it doesn't dig into all the quirks, at lest the javascript one.

Jon Duckett has a beautiful, meant literally, book on html and css basics and also a javascript one. Abookapart's book are really really good as well.

As far as web resources go, there's codeacademy.com, where you build a web page in an online editor doing one task at a time.

Thank you!

codeacademy.com looks awesome! I'll definitely give it a shot!
