I'm curious about a couple of different things:

1) Is this "HTTP Streaming" capability a function of the 3.0 OS or the new hardware (or a combination of both)?

2) What exactly is it and how does it work? My guess is that it would be built into iTunes and run on the phone like an application similar to "Remote" that logs into your iTunes account?

will 7.2Mbps HSDPA speeds be on the 3GS right away?

I think that depends on where you are located. I don't believe AT&Ts roll-out of 7.1Mbps HSDPA is intended to be uniform.

As much as I think this feature sounds nice, I can't help but feel it's pending announcement is what knocked the SlingPlayer Application down a few pegs. Hopefully that can be unlocked in a future update to the app once AT&T is comfortable that the new bandwidth can support the traffic.
