Hi,

For any body that usually need to transfers huge data (approximately 100GB) between MacMini to MacBookPro to Windows Machine.
I have 2 MacMini, 2 Windows Machine and 1 MacBookPro.

Each one of them has MySQL DB and the size of Mysql DB approximately 100GB. I sometimes transfer MYSQL data from MacMini to MacBookPro and to Windows and vise versa. Currently, I am using USB 2.0.(but it has a transfer rate of 13MB bytes/seconds. Is that normal?). Every data transfer of 100GB take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What do you guys think I will need?
- FireWire ?
- eSata? (This with the assumption, I will hack mac mini to use esata)
- Ethernet?

Thanks,
John

eSATA is the fastest but if you're using single hard drive, FW800 is sufficient as well because most HDs aren't much, if any faster than FW800 is.

Thanks. Its mean, if I buy FW800, I don't need to buy hardware slot for 2 of my mac mini and I only need to buy firewire hardware updater for my PC.
