Huge HDD usage by TechTool Protection 5

I recently installed TT 5 and by default, it has the stand-alone application and a pref.pane plugin. One of the feature, enabled by default, is tracking changes on HDD usage/structure, thus making it easier for recovery.

The issue is that, it created a monstrous 9GB in 2 weeks on my application support/techtool folder.

I have disabled it, but still it keeps on created the file.

Any advise?
