Huge lag in Safari when ctrl-clicking (right clicking)- any thoughts?

I have a Macbook running 10.6.4
Ever since the last Safari updates to Safari 5.0, when I try to right click (ctrl-click) on anything in Safari, there is a significant lag before the pop-up window with my choices becomes available.

Has anyone noticed this and is there any way to speed this up?
