I have owned 3 Apple Watches (series 1, series 5, and series 8) and experienced the same issue with each. My morning treadmill routine stays pretty consistent, but jogging in place in the afternoon varies wildly. I realize no two workouts are exactly the same, but the pace I keep while jogging in place is fairly consistent. That being said I sometimes burn 12-13 calories a minute, and then for a period of time that dips to 3-4 calories a minute. I feel like I am moving at the same pace. The slowdown in calories seems to last for a two to three weeks and then mysteriously picks up again with no change in routine. If i jog for half an hour I sometimes burn 360- 375 calories, then it dips to 130 -145 for the same time span. Is the sensor that wonky? During this time the treadmill calories stay consistent.

i have performed all the standard fixes like recalibration, reparing, etc... Any ideas?
