My Apple Arcade subscription recently expired. I noticed that if an AA game is in your device's task switcher, you can just tap on that to play the game, even if your AA subscription has expired! Had I known, I would've left some of my more favorite games to access later* 
, but all aside, interesting that it works this way.
* For one game, I often needed to kill it and restart it since it got sluggish in performance, so this wouldn't have worked out beyond the short term anyways
