Damn. Sorry I forgot... I've seen it on Hulu, but they only post the most recent episode.

I can't believe how fast Chuck jumped the shark. I knew that having Nicole Richie as a ass-kicking cheerleader/Russian mob spy was bad, but then they went to a new low of ridiculousness with the missle command episode.

I understand it is a comedy. I can forgive having secret agents and terrorists randomly walk into Chuck's Buy More store on a weekly basis. I can live with the wacky caricatures that make up his co-workers. But to buy the missle command episode, you had to accept:

1. The Japanese designer of missle command decided to put up a nuclear weapons enabled station in space in the early 80s for NO PARTICULAR REASON. Even if you accept that the tech was available back then. . . even if you accept the Japanese had nuclear weapons (their not big fans since they're the only ones in history to have been nuked). . . even if you accept that he hid the launch codes in a video game. . . even if you accept that he conveniently forgot about his giant space weapons station for 30+ years. . . in the end you have to ask yourself, WHY. Why in god's name would anyone decide to create a nuclear menance for no particular reason?

2. Terrorists want to start WWIII and destroy the entire world. Again, for no particular reason than they are bad guys it seems.

3. The head terrorist takes the time to rig a Missle Command game to explode once the game ends. The guy couldn't just use a gun or a bomb with a timer. He took the hundreds of hours to prepare and program the code to use such an elaborate trap.

4. Chuck finishes the entire Missle Command game to killscreen in about 5 minutes because he was able to listen to the correct rock CD.

I could go on, but you get the point. The writers just don't care any more. They'll shovel whatever implausible crap is necessary to setup for jokes or further the plot. They might as well be writing for a cartoon.

You had me at 'Chuck'.

New Amsterdam is good; only one season, but good.. I'm pretty sure that's on Hulu.
