This has almost nothing to do with the PowerPC architecture, but since we all seem to like retro computing, I figured some may get a laugh / chuckle out of this article I found that showcases some of the zany ideas graphic designers once came up with for marketing the latest video cards to the general public.


In retrospect, the author makes a valid point. I'm not sure how they ever thought that angry frogs in mech suits, screaming children, and fruity goblins would make people want to purchase a computer component (of any kind), or for that matter what they even had to do with computers to begin with ...

They must have been smoking thermal paste. :p
