I don't know if it's the local connection this week, a browser issue, or something else altogether, but when navigating to anyplace on the Forums, I have (after the page loads) a continuous "Transferring data from ping.crowdsource.com" activity. I can navigate normally, and I can stop the transfer by Escape or the usual means to stop browser activity (it goes on forever if I don't), but it's gotten pretty annoying.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I can confirm that the forums are fetching data form ping.crowdsource.com. It's part of the ad system. As a macrumors Demi-God (paid member) you don't have to view site ads that others see, but the forum pages still fetch a small amount of data there. Most content-delivery sites have very high availability and shouldn't cause a delay, but of course when data is being fetched from multiple websites it's the weakest link in the chain that matters. And once in a while a site will stall and cause a page-loading problem.
