I am thinking about buying a new battery for me camcorder, so that I can have 2 on my trip. However, I have a few questions:

1. Does the BP-2L24H battery (Description: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-BP-2L24H-Battery-DC310-Camcorders/dp/B000VW6HHM) work with my HV20 camera?

2. Should I go to a third-party battery supplier (ie: Sterlingtek or Impact) to buy my battery, instead of going to Canon?

its a recession, save yourself some money!

buy those batteries from here, there rated high and are very popular among HV20/30 users.

also, if you have a Rebel XT or XTi those batteries will work aswell, they dont have alot of power but are nice and small to carry around.

hope that helps!

and btw, the guy selling those batteries has been selling them for a while, and he's a Admin, so its legit.

Enjoy.
