HVDVD_TS on a regular DVD Player does not work. Any suggestions?

Hey all,

I authored a DVD full with HD material using FCP and DVD Studio Pro. The Build generated a HVDVD_TS folder which when I burn, works perfectly on many different macs that I tested. The problem is that does not play in any standard DVD player. Googling around, seems that if it's not a Standard Definition DVD, the regular DVD players will not play. The problem is that I don't want to lower the quality of the videos. Any suggestions or there is no way out? I just tried on my PS3 and did not work either.

No way around creating a Standard Definition DVD if you want to have the DVD played in all video DVD players.
Compressor does quite a good job of down sizing HD material into SD with one of its presets.

In PS3 did you try to navigate into the TS directory? Use the Triangle Options button to view all files and see if it plays.
