I'm using bootcamp with my 2011 iMac on Mountainlion, and Windows 8. I've noticed that whenever the imac goes into hybernation and tries to exit it there's an error saying it has to reboot. Is there something wrong with hybernation using windows 8 on the iMac? I just turned off hybernation, but use the monitor to shut down after an hour feature. But I've been told the iMac will last longer if it hybernates since I never turn off the computer.

What say you? thanks!

Comeing out of sleep mode or hybernation and having a computer crash is a MS tradition, just turn the function off and move on with your life.

Done....but was just wondering if this is common or if there's a fix.

BTW, Windows runs better on Macs. (just read article about this on cnet)

It's very common, but it's like the cold any number of things could be messing up your sleep cycle..drivers, programs running in background, mostly just wierd stuff that no one trouble shoots.
