Hyperdock window previews black

Every once in a while, my Hyperdock previews no longer show pictures but rather black squares in place of the pictures that typically show. When this happens I am not doing anything particularly in common and the only way to get hyperdock back to normal is to reboot my Macbook Pro. Any ideas?
