Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone out there has prior experience on using Kingston's HyperX KHX6400S2LLK2/4G to upgrade the memory on an iMac 20in early 2008 generation? The specs seem to match the requirements for this iMac. However, I've tried googling it and searching these forums with no clear result.

Email from Kingston says "There is a chance it will work. We cannot 100% guarantee it though. The reason is because of the chips used on the memory modules. Chips on the HyperX memory are not specifically validated on this name brand computer. Sometimes that may be cause for compatibility problems.". They go on to suggest using KTA-MB800K2/4G which has been tested.

Anyone who can give (hopefully positive) insight to this?

Thanks all!
