I agree - old MBP looked better

I don't like the lines on the new one. Too curvy, and almost looks like those Vaio's that were going for $400 on Black Friday last year. I don't like the black outline. It's unneccessary color. The old keyboard was much better. I was waiting on this keynote to get a new MBP, now I'll pick up a refurb.

Need to see one in person before I decide.

I have a current model MBP and love the lines. The new ones look nice except for two turnoffs:

- Chiclet keyboard
- Glossy display

Hopefully Apple will have a matte screen option in the future.

I recommend that anybody desiring a matte screen option in the future politely send Apple feedback on the issue.
 
Totally agree.
It looks too much iMac, too similar to the regular Macbook
And i hate not having the option of choosing a matte screen.

I will pick up an old model as well.
 
They can't please everyone I suppose. I am very happy with the new MacBook Pro which is why I ordered the 15" top model today, can't wait for it to come! :D I shall say goodbye to this Penryn one!
 
I completely the opposite, the old one now looks a bit lower end with the way it's built.

The new one is pretty much seamless and as a result looks much more classy, specially in high res close ups.
 
I liked the old one but after 5 years of using the same design it was getting sort of boring. I think this new design is pretty darn good in my opinion. I'm still surprised people are complaining about the newer style keyboard though.

I say give them time to get used to the new design, I am sure it will grow on them. Me? I have already placed an order for the high end mbp using my adc hardware discount at $2000. Cant wait to get it delivered around late next week.
 
I think the distance pictures don't do the new one justice. It's the close ups that show this model off.
