The hood
For someone with multiple Apple TVs and children who constantly lose all remotes in the house, I already know my favorite app will be the remote. It can be annoying taking out the phone and jumping into the app and browse to my current Apple tv.

What would be even better is Xbox One-style commands to open various apps or control what's on the screen. Or to just say "Watch Breaking Bad" and for it to open up any options you have based on Netflix, Hulu, a future Sling app and your iTunes Library.

Then $350 will seem like a bargain.

yes!

I think my favorite would be the to-do list at a glance. I have a number of projects going at a time, and it would handy to be able to keep track of what they are and the percent of completion of each. also I hope this app has the potential for voice notes from watch to phone, for updates and ideas.

Any philips hue users out there? I think that'd make an awesome/simple app so you don't have to fumble for your phones to turn the lights on and off.

Amen. Philips seems a little slow to make good evolving updates. We can all hope though.

I saw a post on RedmondPie that had a load of apps...some looked cool...some...er...much less so

but much like iphone apps, I see them getting better and better as people get to grips with what it can do, and apple open up access to devs

Yup, remote will be my favorite too. We have an Apple TV for every room in the house, and the remotes are definitely easy to misplace.

I want an app that has a glance where I can press a button and have it mark on a map where I parked my car. This is all I need in life.

Now we have a computer on a wrist, if nobody makes a tracking app I would be mad. I want the app like the one in The Alien movie where Dallas used it to track an alien in the air duct, but of course we'll use it to track a Bluetooth Tag, or even our iPhone.

I saw an icon for a "things" app during the keynote! My heart jumped

THE best usage scenario for the watch though: Tinder! :D

I hope Peterson makes a guitar strobe tuner for :apple: Watch. Pluck a string and check the tuning.

That's about the only thing I'd use it for.

That's a great idea. I actually use my iPhone guitar tuner a lot.

I hate using the iPhone for tuning only 'cos I don't know where to put it when I'm playing.

The sad thing is, I didn't want an :apple: Watch until I thought of this idea.

2nd and third will be Hue and Evernote. I'm always using my Evernote at work and cell phones are frowned upon. I have to carry around a moleskin which I've already washed 2 times and had to rewrite.

SmartGlass would be an awesome app

Plex remote would be an awesome app

Philips Hue / other home automation would also be awesome

And if I had a fancy enough car, starting it from my watch would also be dope
