I am not disappointed in the iPhone 5.

It appears to be a solid INCREMENTAL upgrade. It will sell well and is a great product.

What I like best is that it is an incremental upgrade. We are now in the phase that we don't have to buy a new phone each year.

It is like digital SLR's. From 2002-2006, each upgrade was a big improvement and I jumped with every other model. Starting in 2007, each upgrade was incremental. So my newest SLR is five years old.

Now smartphones are entering a similar phase. No longer do we have phone envy if we don't have the latest model. I could see a 3 year life span for smartphones.

Bottom line, I save money keeping my 4s another year or two!

The iPhone 5 is really good news for the consumer.

Is it because you're lock into a 2 year contract? ;)

True.

However, I already had a fixed price on selling my 4s. Factoring in that price and my early upgrade price, it would cost me about $175 plus tax to upgrade a 16 gig phone.
