The rules and moderation are not of this time anymore, this is the sole reason I will leave MR.
It has been quite a pleasant time until things changed a few years back.
Not going into much detail, reason, I will be suspended again, can't even explain anything anymore.

So, to you all, have a great time.

To the Mods or staff, I thought I could make this a closed thread, sadly this is not the case.
I ask of others not to reply to this comment/thread, I for one won't be here again but the biggest
reason is it won't help nor does it make any sense to reply.

Life in a forum ebbs and flows, with the good and bad, with people coming and leaving. Its sad to see those who have been here so long to decide to leave.

I myself have largely stayed away for a variety of reasons that are not germane to this thread.

I will say MacRumors will be less with your absence. In the end however you need to balance quality of life, peace of mind, and enjoyment. If a given site fails in any of those areas, it may be time to step aside.

I'm sorry to see such a long standing member choose to - decide to - leave the forum, irrespective of the reason for so doing.

One really hasn't left the site/forums unless it says "Cancelled" by their avatar. If you truly stand by what you say and want to have more of an effect, use the Contact form to let them know about your dissatisfaction and that you'd like to close your account. Otherwise, threads like these are meaningless. Chances are very few people will see it, and MacRumors has no idea that they're losing members; they'll just see that you're inactive and may come back. It's like how kids often tell their parents they're going to run away from home when they're upset, but they actually don't.

You need to change your mind! If you are trying to have “digital detox” from politicized news then just don’t visit the politicized threads on the forum

Mod team always adds political flairs to specific news on the site, so it is like a sign for me personally “nothing to see here”. Life is much more than politics and is far more pleasant to enjoy without the unneeded “breaking news” hassle. And MacRumors is actually a very interesting forum in a sense that it has many more topics for discussion except news and politics, just look down the “new posts” section, it is worthy to dive in there
