I think i may have to leave your ranks. I have just become employed by apple and flicking though my contract i am not aloud to be on rumor sites etc.
That is quite annoying because i like this site very much. Who knows, i may well sit in the background and give an opinion every now and then.
:( sad times.
BUT i am now 'part' of apple!!! (apparently) so woo!!!
thanks

*back to reading my essay of a contract.*

Congrats, are you working at an apple store or are you actually working in Cupertino?

I don't know how tight they are about what you do on your home computer, I mean I see no reason why you can't still come to macrumors, I know you can't talk about any speculation, but who knows. Congrats nonetheless!

i am only at an apple store in the UK. This contract is huge, loads of stuff in it about competitors etc. and what i am allowed to say and do.

lol you are working at the apple store. Could you not just make a thread saying that you were excited that you got a job at the apple store?

well then i would just get people such as yourself saying 'this is pointless' i just tried to make it a bit more emotional. but i am so sorry my thread has taken your time and consideration. please make a note to avoid any and all future posts i may make.

(jealousy is a horrid thing)

If you're at an Apple store, there's plenty of employees that browse macrumors etc while not at work. Apple's not going to come after you, now if you somehow overheard something amazing like Steve Jobs came to the store, pulled you aside and told you about the new G5 Powerbooks coming out next month and you ran to the computer and posted on macrumors, we'd be grateful but you'd probably get fired.

Congratulations!

If your just in the store then I would think that it's fine to still browse, just don't take photos of new product boxes or anything!!!

New G5 Powebooks next month - you heard it here first.

:p

I doubt they will really care if you give advice.
Now if say there's a rumor about the iPod's or MacBook and it post a picture and you say, "no, no, no, that's not going to be the new product... this is <new product>." That would probably get you in trouble.

A job exceeds the importance of trolling MacRumors. Sorry but it is true and the most mature thing I'm going to say tonight!

Eh, I heard they have people who work for Apple that make sure that no employees are signed up on sites such as these (or active)
