Anyone else having a problem with their phone when you turn to landscape the calculator or something or a webpage and it wont go back to normal when you turn your phone?? Even when i jiggle the phone and w/e it wont budge. What's up with that??

Hard reset it old buddy. Hold down sleep wake button and home button at the same time till phone shuts off and apple logo appears.

I'd try powering it off (hold the power button a few seconds until you get the power off swipe strip) before I'd do a restore

K well, I did a full restore and tryed just about everything. Looks like its F'd in the A. Thanks Apple:mad:

After the restore is it still stuck in landscape? Make an appointment at the genius bar as fast as you can, and they'll replace it no questions asked if they see it doesn't go back to portrait.

You have this problem with a 3G right? If so, they don't give out any refurbs as of yet. I just got mine replaced monday because the signal was weak, probably a week antenna, but the guy at Apple looked at it, and he got a new one from the back, still sealed (this was after they told everyone they were sold out, but they have ones for replacements) and just replaced it on the spot.

Hi,

I had the same problem yesterday but it soon sorted itself out.
I think 2.0 needs a patch cos it's definatley not 100% complete, roll on 2.1!
Shame about having these issues after all the hype & waiting, I never had these issues wirth the 1st gen but hey.

sucks cause it's prob going to be a refurb.

At this point I think it's pretty unlikely to be a refurb. How many defective phones could they have identified, repaired, and shipped out to stores as replacements in 4 days (1 of them a Sunday)?
