i think you may have a faulty phone. could have happened with a new black version too. return it.

Definitely just faulty, there's nothing in the colour difference that would affect performance.

It is a hair thicker maybe that could be the reason but I have the same issue. WiFi I clearly get from mu black iPhone I cannot get on the white one. Same exact positioning etc. Very odd.
