I have always used Apple cases for my devices. Silicone cases were the worst, leather ones were better in durability for me. But both kinds of cases always started to show their age after 6 or so months. Silicone generally started to peel from the corners. Leather patina would get generally ugly, or some of them would completely crack.

For iPhone 15 Pro, I purchased a FineWoven case. Contrary to some people, I liked the texture. But as it is a fabric case, I thought it would get very dirty in a short time.

And boy does it get dirty. I have been using it since October and it started to look like a nightmare. Looks like I always put my fingers around the same areas, so those were completely dirty, nearly black after 9 months. The edges of the case were also very dirty, looking like leather patina.

I started thinking that this was not a very good case material and the rumors of FineWoven discontinuation made sense.

Today I decided to wash the case. As it is fabric, I washed it a few times with fabric detergent and was shocked to see that it is in nearly perfect condition. I was not hopeful about the outcome, so I did not think to take a photo before starting cleaning, but took one in the middle and the end. Take a look at both.

You can see the fingerprints in the first one. Those were nearly black. And nearly gone in the final image.

The case feels nearly pristine again, something that was impossible for silicone and leather cases after 9 months. If they continue making these, I’ll definitely buy again.

I was using a taupe FW case when I first bought my 15 PM. After just a few weeks it was already showing marks 😔. Ended up ditching the case and got a Pitaka case to swap it out. I now use a silicone Apple case every now and then. Yes I have a case problem 😂

I just recently got a Finewoven case myself about a week ago (in black, which is more like a dark gray) and I absolutely love the feel of it. Haha. So much so that I got the black FW wallet also.

Three cases? Is that all? That is far from a problem haha

I am really tempted to jump back into a FW case for the last two months of having the 15 Pro but probably a waste of money 😂

Ive always used Apple Silicon cases and never had any issues with them at all. I didn't like the fabric feel of the FW case....

My FW case held up really well, until… it didn’t. For me it was the bumpers peeling off from one day to the other🤷🏻‍♂️. My next case was a Nomad leather one, that behaved according to spec when I dropped it. Phone was pristine afterwards, case was severely damaged. Now I use a $10 clear case 😂

I just recently went through apple care and ended up getting a new iPhone. Since I was there at the Apple Store, I was browsing through their cases and ended up going with FW case.

I’m actually digging it surprisingly, I wouldn’t never thought, I’m actually enjoying the texture , very different from all the cases I’ve used in the past. I probably didn’t want to give it a try back in September because I was bitter they discontinued the leather case which was my favorite.

But here we are months later after release lol, I’ll get to enjoy this combo before the new iPhone comes out and will try whatever is new out there ! Cheers

What color is that? Doesn’t look like any that Apple sell.

I purposely chose a darker color FW case since I figured it would show less stains over time. There's a little discoloration around the edges but other than that it looks pretty much new. The detergent trick works well. I plan on keeping the 15 Pro for awhile so I went ahead and bought a second Finewoven case for around half off on Prime Day. It's definitely best-fitting 15 Pro case I've tried and I find myself using it more than most of my other cases.
