Does anybody remember a children's TV show which I have vague memories of.

It basically involved a boy, with a friend who flew sometimes or maybe called on its power a huge golden metallic bird. I also think the time setting was during the Aztec and Inca empires. I think they boy was looking for his father or something. The TV show was a series with an ongoing plot and it was in english.

I'm being really vague because I hardly remember it and its annoying me because I've been thinking about it for weeks now and google hasn't been able to help me on this so I'm throwing it out to everybody here.

I've looked all over the net for it but haven't had any success unfortunately. Widget the World watcher was pretty cool as well.

I could actually recite (because I just sung through it all) the whole song but I wouldn't want to embarrass myself.

So I guess my favorite childhood cartoon would be what I previously mentioned, Muppet Babies, but I used to like Woody Woodpecker & Friends (then I got older and his voice and mannerims drove me nuts ).

And as a really young child, I actually remember seeing old Disney shorts on TV. This one in particular I've been looking for all my life... Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and someone else (probably Pluto) were in this beat up RV type vehicle. I don't remember many details, but to this day, I wish so badly that I could see it again. I think I'd cry if I did.

I still watch Transformers the Movie, I've got an avi movie of it on an external drive.

I also bought the soundtrack recently. Its got some classic 80's rock tunes on it which I'm unashamedly proud to have.

There was a show where monsters from the underworld wanted to take over earth. It was more of an adult series back then but I loved it. Cannot for the life of me remember the name though.

Great show. There was the guy living with the two hot chicks. Geeking out.

Did any of you ever see Space Giants? Mongo may be the only one old enough to remember this one, and I'm not sure how widely it was shown. The absolute best part of this show was (to quote the Wikipedia article):

... faceless, ninja-like villains called Lugo men who melted into oozing blob-like slime when killed.

The only thing I remember about "3-2-1 Contact" is the theme song. And I don't really remember most of the words, but that tune is burned onto my brain.
