My daughter was born today. Kalyn Nicole F.

6lb 11oz, 19.25inches long.

Mom was in labor for 24 hours. But had a epidural so it was just waiting. She couldn't get past 7cm for two hours so the doc decided to preform a C-section. She had a mile case of pre-eclampsia so it was justified.

I was in the room with her until she started to feel what was going on. I was getting up and leaving the room before the nurse even got to me. They had her under before i even got out the door. Very impressed by all the nurses, the doctor, and the CRNA.

I waited in the recover room for about 15 min. I could hear the baby cry. A big weight was lifted off my shoulders.

Congratulations! :) :)

Glad to hear that both the baby and the mom are doing well. You must be so happy right now!

She's very cute. I didn't used to like kids and infants - through no fault of their own - but now I find them quite adorable. Middle age is setting in..

Kalyn Nicole F Cantthinkofone... that's quite some name. ;)

Many congratulations to you and your family. :)

I expect the experienced fathers will be around soon with tales of sleepless nights and messy diapers.

Congrats on the little bundle of joy! She looks sweet sleeping in the pic.

Congrats and hope everyone is well.

I could recommend a thousands things but here is a one.

Enjoy every single moment. Before you know it she will be saying, daddy I want to meet my fiance.

One day this man came down stairs, it was my son.;)
It seemed like yesterday we were watching the Rughrats together.

Enjoy the excitment.

Congrats Buddy! I just became a Proud Papa on the 10th myself! It's awesome! No sleep, but awesome! Everyday brings something new to smile about. Good luck to you, your wife and your little one.:):):)

Congratulations!

How is Mom after 24 hours of labor?! I hope she is feeling ok and resting.

Well they educed her at around 2:30pm Tuesday. The first two hours she was handling the contractions like a pro. She deals with pain well so that helped. The nurses were surprised that she wasn't in a lot of pain during the contractions.

After the two hours they started getting about 2-2.5 minutes apart and she couldn't regain herself in time so she got her epidural. After that she couldn't feel any of them.

We waited and waited but she just wouldn't dilate.

The room next door to us had a emergency mid way thru the night. I couldn't sleep after hearing that girl. About two hours later the chaplain came to see her :(

Everything is going good today. Mom is recovering very well. Probably be able to go home tomorrow. We have been here since Monday so we're ready to get out of here and go home.
