I figured I'd post this review because the hard case or shell pickings are very slim for the rMBP. I couldn't wait for the Speck and had to get something, it's kind of ridiculous that this machine's been out for 2 months and there are practically NO options for protection. I wasn't biting on the Kuzy from Amazon because users were reporting the fit wasn't perfect... One edge was not snapping into place. I really wanted something that fit perfect.

I found this case on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Macbook-Retina-Display-Release/dp/B008CGWT0I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

There were few reviews, but I saw what I wanted to see about the perfect fit and the material being rubbery, which is what I was looking for... Plus it was available with prime. I ordered it with overnight shipping for for a total of $33.94.

This case has a nice rubber covering that's soft to the touch, and the fit is perfect. I also like the discreteness of the logo, it's visible when the lid is open but it's more of a subtle grey, it's black when the lid is closed. The case snaps right into place and leaves openings for all our important ports. The vents on the bottom will allow for sufficient cooling. The white feet on the bottom are foamy, probably the only downside that I can see so far.

I have a feeling the rubber coating may wear off after some time, but for the time being it's fantastic. I may pick up something else after more options come out, but I'm really glad I took the chance on this one. Very happy with my purchase.

I wonder how this one compares to the Kuzy. Another member said that it does not fit snug on the bottom case.

As do Macs and Dells and Acer laptops... there are still differences ;)

The pictures from OP look exactly like my Kuzy, right down to the white dots on the bottom over the rubberized feet. Fwiw my Kuzy snaps on nicely on all edges.

I got one brand as "iDesign" and they look exactly like kuzy or i-Blaston... etc.

The finishing is not good and please be ready to buy piece of fine sand paper to smooth the corner. :(

I got the same case from Amazon (£25) for two weeks now. Since I'm in the UK, the shipping time was around 10 working days.

I have two minor issues. The first is the case don't protect the two corners on the body where the ports are located. The second issues is with the clearance of the ports, I find large USB drive and HDMI cable can not be fully inserted in the the ports. However, since the body is so thin, I'm not sure there is a better solution.

P.S. I went old school with multi-colour logo with the black case. I think it look good with the backlight.
