Can anyone out there help with this problem :
When i attempt to empty the trash on my i-book OSX, i now get a message as follows : "the operation cannot be completed because the item 'htm' is in use."
What does this mean? - - - what is item htm likely to be, and how do i turn it off or remove it ?

Just quit all your open applications and then try emptying the trash again.

I get this bug sometimes with Preview—I'll delete an image that was recently opened by Preview, and the Finder will claim that the image is "in use" when it's not. The solution is usually to close the application that you were using to look at the file. It's rather annoying, but it's the only workaround I know of.
