I ended up buying that old Macintosh SE FDHD for ten bucks from my landlord. It works great! Just like ti was brand new.

It uses system 7.1, has Microsoft word & excel, Clarisworks, and a bunch of games like simcity.

I think it's pretty neat. I was surprised at how well it works.

Cool pic...

I bought one as well at a flea market, for like $15. No real reason, it's the first Mac I had experience with so there was a little nostalgia... Figured I'd keep it and show my son in a few years, he'll probably get a kick out of what his dad grew up with.

Suprisingly it was loaded up; Word, Excel, plus some classic games. Deja Vu, Dark Castle, Shufflepuch Cafe, etc.

I saw one of these at my school back in 92, if there's one thing i liked about them more than anything, it was the keyboard. Its the only thing i miss pre usb, other than OS7 itself.

SE30 is one of the greatest computers ever. I used to spend hours in front of one writing.

I must get one.

I have a SE 30 FDHD. I got it from my uncle for free! It works great. I was amazed at how closely OS 7 looked like OS 9. I guess OS 10 was about due, huh.

That is such a cute little computer. I remember the SE30 my High School English teacher used. That was a few years ago back in the early 90's. The eMac looks downright massive next to the SE30.

how old is that mac? and it still cost $10
Just lets see if someone would pay to have a PC that old.

We always mac hold their value longer than PCs - and now we have proof.

The SE keyboard

I always though this keyboard (which came with the SE 30) was the best keyboard ever made. It was compact, tactile, and most importantly, indestructable... well almost

This keyboard has a much better feel than the current USB or Bluetooth keyboards that Apple makes.
