In past iTunes versions there was a list of all the apps I had bought from the appstore, but this is no longer the case, they only place I can see my app list is on the update section of the App Store app directly on the devices. iTunes doesn't recognize my previous bought apps anymore. How can this be?

Is it not under Purchased in the App Store itself? (at the right under "App Store Quick Links")

In iTunes General preferences, make sure that Show: Apps is checked.
