Alright.
First and foremost I apologize for any flooding tonight and I greatly appreciate your patience.
I am having a problem with my brand new mac, it's a day old and also my first mac.
I'm getting a codec overrun error when trying to download anything. Adium, quicksliver, appclean, everything.
It starts off by saying,
"Warning"
Then, underneath it reads,
The following disk images failed to mount
Codec overrun.

How can I fix this?

Are you using Safari or Firefox?

Have you installed any and all updates?

Is this a brand new machine from Apple, or simply brand new to you?

If brand new brand new, then what did you do on the system before you starting downloading things? Did you happen to go to any pr0n sites that told you that you had a bad codec for quicktime?

I'm using Safari.
I've run Max system update, yes.
It's the brand new SR Macbooks from Apple, it's brand new to me as well.
I didn't do anything major. I had some difficulties downloading and keeping Msn messenger. I messed around with that until I realized I needed to put it into my Applications folder.
No, I didnt search any porn cites.

Thanks for your help.
