I am running iOS 8 on an iPhone 5S and I have a problem with my photo library. I deleted all the photos form my phone, and went into "recently deleted" and made sure I permanently deleted them, however when I plug my phone into my Mac and look in image capture, I still see over 400 photos in there.
Does anybody know if there's any way to figure out where these photos reside on my iPhone? They aren't viewable through the photos app and I'd like to get rid of them. They seem like they are taking up space but not usable. Also, "delete" button that used to be in Image Capture seems to be missing (can you no longer delete via image capture in iOS8?).
I currently have all iCloud photo related functions turned off.
