I can use someone else's upgrade, right?

My grandpa has upgrade eligibility - I do not. He's allowing me to use his.

If I pre-order the iPhone 6 through Sprint using his line and get the phone delivered to my house, and then just activate it under my number, is that all I have to do? Or is the phone tied to his number when it ships? We are under the same account.

It's tied to his number when it ships. You would have to switch it back to yours after you get it.
