I canceled bootcamp in the middle of partitioning my HD...

... and now I lost 5 gb's of space...

because the process never completely finished, a drive does not show up on my desktop...

I've tried everything I know... does anyone know how I can regain my lost hd space?

yeah... that was no help... I can't use bootcamp assistant because the partition never officially finished on my computer and I can't use the leopard install disk solutions because my leopard disk is scratched ( )

I have a feeling that an archive and install will fix this, which I will do once I get a copy of snow leopard when it comes out...

I'm just wondering if their is another solution though...

ok... I fixed my problem by booting into single user mode and entering a few codes I found on apple's site...

I know this is a few years after the question, but this might help people like me who were searching for the answer. I booted into safe mode by starting up and hitting cmd+s. Once it scrolls through everything type /sbin/fsck -fy . Here's the more detailed link that I found
