Hey guys,

I posted roughly a year ago about my odd re-activation issue, still have not found a solution (neither has Apple). In the past year I have been in contact with an "iPhone Specialist" and a "Senior Advisor".

Basically any time my iPhone needs to do a re-activation (ie. after a restore, after a large update) the iPhone becomes bricked.

Let me define bricked as the only thing the iPhone can now do is "emergency calls". iTune comes up with the message The Sim Card Inserted in the iPhone does not appear to be supported (even though it is from a iPhone carrier and works 100% fine (I have even had it replaced to see if that solved anything).

The reason why I use the term Bricked is because there is 100% no way possible to restore the iPhone to usage. Trust me I have tried EVERYTHING.

Please tell me someone else has experienced this?

Right now the only option I have is when the iPhone bricks I have to go to my local Apple store and swap it out for a replacement.

I will now be on iPhone 3G #10 as of this afternoon.
