i cannot open word doucments with office 2008

so i installed office 2008 but when i try to open word documents it just freezes. even worst, when i open word by it self i see the smallest page. its not a zoom issue. i thought may be there was something wrong with my product key so i look around for another product key but that did the same thing. has anybody had this problem?

nahhh, i tried the same product key on another machine and it worked. so finally i got fed up and reinstalled everything, now it works.
