I can't believe that there are now two factions of iPhone fanboys

I just don't get the pissing contest between the fanboys over a freaking phone. Who cares which one is marginally faster? You either want the big screen or you want the more portable phone. These types of reactions always seem to be by people who deep down are questioning their choice and are now desperately trying to validate it.
I think you miss the humor in all this.
We are being petty and arguing over details yes, but only because we all know the phones are pure perfection this year! --Weather its the 6 or the 6+.
Its an expression of excitement!
You have to have context for the assumed awareness of the marginal consequence of what we discuss. That is sometimes forgotten in the focused minutia of discussion.
We won't always have a asterisk at the bottom of every post that says, "but hey, this is all in context, its JUST smartphone! None of any of this is that serious!"
At the end of the day we are all like minded friends here who are generally civil towards each other and like to discuss details we like to obsess about in a mostly innocent way if you understand the dry humor around here.
And I see Android fanboys do it all the time on their forums - arguing over whose particular Android phone is the best.
This development is really sad.
It's hard to gauge the intent and tone on a forum post, but from what I was reading, it seemed like some massive butt hurt is going on in some of these threads. A lot of people are taking this way too seriously.
I don't call it fanboys. I feel people are trying to justify their purchases and they are doing that by talking up the device they bought and talking down the other.
Let's get it straight, they are both GREAT! Just be happy with what you all bought, all that matters.

I think this phenomenon only takes place on the forums. In real life I'm sure most people are friendly regardless what model they have.
What did you expect? People like to divide themselves based on size in real life too (those 6 and below and those 6 plus).
