I can't change my User Login profile picture

You know the little photo icon that you see for your different user accounts when you login to OSX? I keep trying to change mine and when I restart my computer or log back in, it will change back to the previous picture it was set to.


I'm running Lion 10.7.2 on a 11" MacBook Air (2011). I previously had a MacBook Pro that I had everything backed-up to an external drive. When I upgraded to the Air, I plugged in my drive to restore it from Time Machine, so the user account from that backup is the one I'm using. The User profile picture that I had on that Mac is the one that it keeps changing back to even after changing it to something else when I restart my computer, or wake it up from sleep.

The worst part is that when it changes the picture back to the flower that it was before, it looks so pixely in the log-in screen.

I have the same problem. It keeps reverting back to a previous account picture. Could be a permission issue but can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

Possible solution: It is it reverts back when I open my address book. Just changed my photo from address book and restart. Seems to work.

Ahh, I opened up my Address book and noticed the photo that was under my name was the same one it kept changing back to. I changed my photo in the address book, and then I went back into my User accounts under system preferences to change the picture, and noticed it had automatically changed to the photo I had just switched to in my address book.

I found I needed to delete the photo in my CONTACT Book and then the new photo would only register and upload when I used the CHROME Browser NOT Safari. Weird as Safari is build by APPLE but it worked.
