I can't change page orientation in MS office word 2004

Hi

If I click on File > Page Setup > Orientation and try to change the page setup from portrait to landscape, nothing happens. In fact I none of the buttons in the entire the "Page Steup" dialogue box work. I can click them but the OK button then only quickly flickers but nothing happens.

Anyone???? This one blows my mind...

Does it work in other applications?

Yes it does, e.g. in Excel everything just works fine.

PS I have tried reistallation of word twice (even in different languages), but the problem persists.
