I can't decipher this error message..

My younger brother's (Titanium, 1ghz) Powerbook crashed about an hour ago. It froze completely, with safari in the background and the front window half minimized (in the middle of the genie to-the-dock motion). The mouse would not move; I typed this, as it would not copy.

Over top of safari was the following error message (not in a window, but on top of all portions of OSX but the mouse):

I have no idea what this means. It was in white text with a black highlighted background. Can anyone tell me what this means and what happened?

For what its worth, he was watching a trailer for the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

That would be a kernel panic. I have no idea what that stuff actually means though.
